“Winds of Loss was my first introduction into romantic thrillers, and I am hooked. The story draws a beautiful connection between loss, grief, love, and hopelessness that was unexpected yet deeply touching. As the characters in the novel race to find missing women the ultimate finding of what each character needs is the perfect thread that ties it all together. Winds of Loss kept me guessing, reminiscing on what it means to grieve, how that feeling never leaves, and how passion and love can drive you to do the unimaginable.”

“I sat down to read the first two paragraphs of this book, and couldn’t put it down until I was finished! Winds of Loss is just the right mix of romance and intrigue with a believability that draws the reader in.”

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Stacie Valdez has been a prolific reader since she discovered libraries in the first grade. She began telling stories around that time to anyone who would listen. Unfortunately, she didn’t write any until much later. She has published non-fiction articles and was a guest columnist for the New York Times. She was a high school English teacher for 34 years and has since retired. Raising five wonderful children left little time for full-length novels. Now, they are adults in their own homes, leaving an empty nest for Stacie, her husband, Rod, and their ornery Corgi, Remy, and lots of time to write. When she is not reading or writing, she loves baking for her family.
